Adopt-A-Unit

Post 1621 has "adopted" a unit currently serving in Iraq.  Anyone interested in sending items may drop them off at the Post home and they will be included in a box that's sent as often as possible.

Here is a wish list of items from the Soldiers:

Food items:
Pop Tarts
Honey roasted peanuts
Cashews
Cookies (homemade are favorites, but they'll take anything!)
Hard candy (ie Jolly Ranchers)
M&Ms
Kool-Aid (individual presweetened packets)
Beef jerky
Beef sticks(ie Slim Jims)

Recreational items:
Sports magazines
Soccer balls
Nerf balls

Technical items:
Computer magazines
External hard drives / thumb drives
CDs
DVDs

Personal items:
Foot powder / baby powder (travel size)
Hand / face wipes (unscented)
Hand lotion (unscented)
Kleenex (travel size)
Soap
Disposable razors
Lip balm (unscented - Chapstick, or tubes of Blistex or Vasoline
Shaving soap (aerosol cans will not ship!)
